Script Analysis

My script analysis is rooted in the Harold Clurman Method, learned directly from Susan Batson — a technique I return to every time I work in Film, Television, Theatre, or an Audition.

The process unfolds like this:

​

• Determining the Beats — breaking the scene down into its shifting units of intention and energy, revealing its true shape.

• Identifying the Beats — going deeper into each Beat to uncover what's truly happening underneath it.

• Giving them Need and Action — every Beat is given a powerful Need and a specific Action, transforming analysis into life.

• Act and Sing out the Action like a cartoon character — exaggerated, uninhibited, almost childlike in its honesty. This cracks the scene wide open, letting me enter the raw emotional and psychological energy of that moment without censorship or "performing."                                                                                     

 

This method lets me feel and inhabit a scene, bringing it to life with fearless, electric honesty — the heart of truly unforgettable acting.
